Difficult to Stuff
Great bag, but I think the way the bag is structured it looses some of its full packing potential. However the durability and functionality is 10/10

Bomber With One Flaw
I have owned this bag for around a year now and have taken it on enough trips that I feel confident I can provide a review. I use the bag mainly for climbing/mountaineering trips and traveling for rescue training. Historically there was a pretty famous expedition duffle from a competitor which I have used extensively. Recently however they changed their design making the bag less desirable and I have been in the market for something to replace my aging stock. The bag is well laid out and very durable, no question. I routinely travel with crampons, ice tools, trad racks, avvy gear, etc. and none of them have caused any rips or tears in the bag. I love that you can separate the interior space of the bag as well, this allows me to keep the sharp bits away from clothing or other more sensitive gear. The only durability issue I have seen to date is the clear window on the outside has some small tears in it. I assume the ripstop weave is Dyneema which seems to have stopped them from becoming bigger. I use that pocket for ID tags when traveling with multiple duffels, so maybe the extra use has worn it out faster. I mainly travel via plane, which brings me to the one big flaw I see with this bag - it is VERY confusing to airlines and baggage handlers. When I check this bag, most airport staff make me remove the external shoulder straps because they are a snag hazard for the conveyor belts and rollers that move the baggage throughout the airport. Once those are removed, the side handles are really the only way left to move the bag. Unfortunately however, when the bag is fully loaded, the side handles don't stick out very well, and they are not in a contrasting color. Because of this, 99% of the time baggage handlers don't notice them. As a result, they grab the one thing they notice which are the side and top compression straps. This happens to me almost every time I fly and then because of them jerking on compression straps, they become very loose and the G hooks occasionally pop off leaving them and the strap to get caught and the ends of the bag to come loose. At least one of my G hooks is slightly bent from them yanking on the straps from a weird angle. My remedy has been to expect this will happen and tie a stopper knot in the strap against the G hook so it can't loosen or throw some half hitches around the strap with the tail. The only bummer with doing that is that it takes some time and the knots can be pretty tough to get out. I would just like to see future versions of this bag have the handles be a bright color and the compression straps black so people are less drawn to them for lifting. I assume many folks who get this bag for expeditions will have to fly at some point, so it only makes sense that the bag be functional for air travel and those who will be moving them. Other than that issue, it is a great bag.

Held Everything
This bag held everything I needed for a 10 day trek. My sleeping bag took up most of the space but the interior belts helped compress it so that I had plenty of space for clothes and gear. Extremely well made with lots of extra belts inside and out.

Great Bag
Bag material and shape are great. The organization and sinching straps are well designed. Only reason why not I cannot give it 5 stars are the should straps. The system works great for removing and adding should straps. Issue is the shape and size of the straps. The straps are just a touch too narrow for the size and weight and size limits of the bag. Also the Velcro on the straps is a feature that causes more issues than benefits. Overall great bag!

Excellent bag for adventure travel
Excellent bag for adventure travel trips! This bag has a ton of room compared to some of the other bags in the market. The bag seems to be really well constructed however I’ve only used it a few times so far. Definitely recommend.
