Why we love the Canon RF 15-30mm f4.5-6.3 IS STM Lens:

  • It’s excellent value for money - it’s a less expensive wide-angle zoom that makes it more accessible to those who can’t justify an L-series lens.
  • The image stabilisation is impressive, offering up to 5 stops of stabilisation. Stick this lens on the like of the EOS R3/R5 and with the in-body image stabilisation, that number jumps to 7 stops.

    • Use this lens for:

    • The lens uses a stepping motor that smooth, silent AF during video - we think that this lens would be well-suited for vlogging and other video work.
    • We also think that the lens would be fair well for astrophotography and architecture because of the wide angle. However, bear in mind that the maximum aperture range isn’t particularly wide so may not be best suited to all lighting situation (nor if you want to play with a shallow depth of field)

      • Look and feel:

      • This lens matches the look and feel of the RF 24mm that was released on the same date - both lenses sit outside of the L-series line and as result, don’t have the super-premium feel that lenses inside that range do. That being said, it still feels rugged and hardy.
      • It's lightweight and because of that, it's super-portable which is ideal for travel users or, for videographers, you can easily use the lens for vlogging without too much fatigue.
      • The zoom ring and customisable control ring feel good when in use and that control ring is great for easy adjustments between your preferred shooting setups.

        The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.

        During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.

        Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
