Sony's Movie Technology
The included two XD (eXtreme Dynamic) Linear Motors offer fast, precise and quiet AF along with reliable tracking. Quiet is the operative word as it is great for videography. The precision internal focus mechanism reduces focus breathing for clean, uninterrupted sound recording. Enjoy smooth, continuous AF for videos and take advantage of the AF's speed and tracking potential to capture dynamic subjects.
Advanced Optical Design
A total of 14 elements arranged in 12 groups include Two AA (Advanced Aspherical) glass elements and three ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements. The AA glass elements successfully compensate for field curvature in addition to astigmatism; notoriously problematic in wide-angle lenses. The ED glass elements, on the other hand, suppress chromatic aberrations. Together, they accurately reproduce point light sources with high contrast and reduced sagittal flare. Enjoy high corner-to-corner resolution at all aperture and zoom settings supported by these state-of-the-arts bright constant F1.8 (30mm equivalent on APS-C bodies) optics; Nano AR coating and the 9-blade circular aperture.
Enhanced Ergonomics
The thought-through design of the lens provides you with high-operability - ideal for stills and video. The aperture click switch, for example, switches the aperture ring between seamless control - without click stops - and 1/3-step click stops. When shooting movies, the aperture switch, as well as the aperture ring, facilitate click-less control of the iris. The aperture ring features convenient F-stop markings and is used to directly adjust lens aperture. The focus mode switch, on the other hand, supports manual or auto focus selection via the lens. You can do this without having to look away from the viewfinder so that you can keep your eye on the subject. The focus hold button holds the focus while pressed and can be customised through the in-camera body menu. The lens' exterior is dust and moisture resistant with sealed buttons and rings. Its build is also durable and lightweight, as hybrid-metal and engineering plastic were used for the construction of the lens.

Buy now pay later
The Buy Now Pay Later option comprises a 36 month loan following a six month deferral period.
During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts. If the loan is partially repaid within six months, the remaining interest will be adjusted to reflect the new balance. If the loan is fully repaid within the six-month deferral period, then no interest is payable, however, a £29 early settlement fee is payable in respect of repayments within these six months.
Following the six-month deferral period, Novuna Personal Finance will initiate a monthly direct debit payment for the remaining duration of the loan. Interest will be charged at a rate of 18.9% APR on outstanding balances (backdated to the first date of the loan). Novuna Personal Finance will send a reminder letter approximately one month before the six-month deferral period is due to elapse.
