Canon R5 Mark II In Stock & Shipping Today

Share with your friends!

The new Canon R5 Mark II is shipping today. A few stores have stock on shelves ready to go. B&H has stock of the R5 Mark II kit that is ready to ship today. They say more “body only” models will be available on August 22nd (2 days from now), so you could order that and expect it to ship later in the week. Adorama seems to have stock of the body and the kit. Amazon has a stock of the body only and the kit, but VERY FEW remain.

As for the battery grips, B&H has stock of the regular BG-R20 battery grip, the version with the ethernet port, and the version with the built-in cooling fan. Amazon has 1(!) BG-R20 remaining as of this moment, and 4 of the BG-R20EP ethernet models, and a few of the version with the cooling fan. Adorama has the BG-R20 but not the ethernet or the cooling fan versions (yet).

B&H and Amazon have stock of the new LP-E6P battery for the R5 Mark II. You’ll need some spares of this battery because some features, such as pre-capture, only function when the new battery is used.

Link summary: I suspect the stock will come and go, to begin with.

Memory Card Deal for R5 Mark II

B&H is running a 24-hour sale on one of the best-value CFexpress cards for the R5 Mark II. This is the ProGrade Digital 512GB Type B card, on sale for just $140 today (Save $60). This is one of the cards I use, and it’s a great performer.
