OWC Dock Ejector 2 Warning – Ignores Data Opt-Out Request

I recently installed OWC’s Dock Ejector 2 application. This helper software offers a safe method for ejecting all external drives from your computer before unplugging a hub or dock. During installation, you are presented with the usual option that asks whether you want to “Help improve OWC Dock Ejector.” It says, “Sends anonymous usage statistics to OWC. No personal information will be collected.” I disabled this option during installation.
