The MindShift Exposure shoulder bag from is a rugged laptop and camera bag that’s available in both 13″ and 15″ sizing. Here’s my in-depth review…
A shoulder bag is such a useful kind of bag for so many types of photography, that I think you’d struggle to find a photographer that doesn’t have at least one in their closet. In this review I’m going to take a look at Think Tank’s rugged, yet discreet Retrospective series.
Adventure photographer Chris Burkhard has worked with Mountainsmith to create a series of outdoor photography packs and carry solutions. I’ve previously reviewed the Mountainsmith TAN Kit Cubes which are designed to fit inside most of these bags, and today we’re looking at the larger of two camera lumbar packs that are also offered as part of this adventure photography lineup. Firstly it should be noted that the Tanack 10L lumbar pack is designed to work with either the small or medium TAN (Tough As Nails) Kit Cube, but it does not come with either of them for the $99 price …
Over a decade of reviewing camera bags has all come down to this single post. A camera bag buying guide like you’ve never seen before…
Mountainsmith collaborated with adventure photographer Chris Burkhard to create a photography backpack called the Tanuck 40, and a waist pack called the Tanack 10 (no, that’s not a typo – Tanuck/Tanack). Stay tuned for a full review of the smaller Tanack very soon. These bags are sold without any kind of camera protection in them, but there is a line of camera inserts designed for the bags, called TAN Kit Cubes (Tough As Nails). The Mountainsmith TAN Kit Cubes are available in three different sizes, and in this quick review we’ll be taking a look at the small and medium …
The Matador Lens Base Layer and Camera Base Layer are lightweight, down-stuffed protective cases for a single lens, or a lens+camera. I tested both of these products out to see how well they function and how much protection they offer.
Not too long ago I reviewed the Everyday Sling 10L from Peak Design, and now they’ve launched a smaller 5L version. This new, smaller version comes in either all black, or the light grey Ash colour of the 10L one that I tested a couple of months ago. At only $100, this Everyday Sling 5L is hitting their lowest price point yet, and I don’t mind saying that they’re onto a winner here, right off the bat. Over the last few years I’ve used and reviewed the entire Everyday lineup from Peak Design, and in the review of the Sling …
In this review we’re taking a look at the BackLight 36L outdoor photography pack from MindShift Gear. I’ve been testing this as my main photo pack for the last month, prior to its public release. As usual, there’s a ton of photos in this review, as well as a video walk-through of the features and some suggestions about other bags that you might consider when looking to buy a bag of this size for outdoor photography. For those that aren’t familiar with the brand, MindShift Gear is Think Tank Photo’s sister company. Whilst Think Tank concentrates more on the urban, …
Peak Design continue to expand their product lineup, and the Everyday Sling 10L was added alongside the previously reviewed Everyday Backpack, and the Tote, during a record-breaking Kickstarter campaign. The styling cues are all the same, but there’s a few differences in functionality that means it’s not quite as simple as saying this is a “mini Everyday Messenger”. I’ll say right away that surprisingly to me, this is actually my favourite of the Everyday series! I know a lot of people love the Everyday Messenger and Backpack, and I did like them, but I also had my criticisms. In several …
