I’ve always maintained a Gear Guide as part of this site, a collection of pages that detail all of my photo gear and explains why or how I use certain things. It’s not necessarily intended to be a guide for exactly which things you should buy, because of course I don’t know your budget or your requirements; however, it has always been one of the most visited sections of the site.
I’m pleased to announce today that this section has gone through a total redesign, something which took me over 150 hours of work over the last couple of months. I’ve tidied up the page designs, added some new ones like my EDC kit, and even added a camera ownership history to the camera page so you can follow my upgrade path right from my very first camera.
Hopefully, it answers some of the questions you might have about the gear that I use for my photography that’s sprinkled throughout this site in the various tutorials. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to drop them in the comments at the bottom of the gear pages, or shoot me an email. If you’re looking for specific buying advice I’m happy to help, but please be sure to clearly tell me your budget and what kind of photos you are looking to take.
