Sometimes we jus need a little inspiration, and I’ve found that it can be as simple as a few quotes from some very wise people. These are my favourite ones on the subject of photography: 1. “To photograph is to hold one’s breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It’s at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy.” – Henri Cartier-Bresson 2. “The whole point of taking pictures is so that you don’t have to explain things with words.” – Elliott Erwitt 3. “You don’t take a photograph, you make it.” – …
I recently did an upgrade of my backup hard drives, something that every photographer will end up doing at some point. I was left with a stack of drives on my desk which I’ll sell on Craigslist or through my local buy and sell forum. They all work perfectly so I’m sure someone will want to put them to use. Switching from a DSLR to mirrorless So there are many articles out there covering photographer’s transitions from their beloved camera format to Sony, but I wanted to share my reluctant transition and obviously the ‘why’ for waiting and ultimately moving over. I was a hold out for nearly a year, very wary of the idea of moving to a smaller camera body that had a limited lens selection and would force me to really shake things up with the gear I was using. I split my photography interest between landscape photography and travel/humanitarian work around the globe so I need …
Australian photographer and filmmaker, Krystle Wright, has what many people would consider the “dream job”.
